About us

Holdrix is a technology startup in Melbourne, Australia. We're building an online marketplace that connects people who need a task done with trusted local service providers. The platform works in English and Vietnamese. We've written down what the product needs to do, and now we need a designer to show how it should look and feel.

The role

We're looking for a freelance UX/UI designer to design a clickable prototype of our website, covering every screen. You'll work directly with the co-founders and our developer. Your prototype is what we'll build the real product from.

Which screens

We'll give you the full list and a written description of each flow.

  • People posting tasks: post a task, compare offers, pay securely, follow progress, confirm the job is done, report a problem, leave a review.
  • Service providers: sign up and get verified, find tasks, send offers, get paid.
  • Everyone: messages, help and support, account settings, and public pages such as the home page.
  • For each flow, also design what people see when a page is empty, when something goes wrong, and when it is loading, for both desktop and mobile.

What you'll hand over

  • A clickable prototype of all screens, for desktop and mobile.
  • English and Vietnamese versions of the key screens.
  • A set of reusable design pieces (buttons, forms, cards and so on) built on our brand colours and fonts.
  • Clear notes and well-organised files, so our developer can build straight from them.

What we're looking for

  • At least 3 years' experience in UX and UI design.
  • A portfolio of website projects. Marketplaces, booking sites and payment flows are especially relevant.
  • Skilled in Figma or a similar design tool.
  • Comfortable working within an existing brand. We'll give you our colours, fonts and rules.
  • Designs that are easy to read for everyone, including people with poor eyesight or colour blindness: text and buttons must stand out clearly from their background, to the international accessibility standard WCAG AA (we'll explain what it needs).
  • Clear communication, and reliable delivery to deadlines.

Nice to have

  • Good English is an advantage.
  • Experience designing screens for identity checks, resolving disputes, and reviews.

Details

  • Contract: freelance. Budget, start date and rounds of feedback are discussed directly with candidates.
  • Location: remote.
